The Macau Post Daily was founded on August 27, 2004, and is the oldest English-language daily in Macau. The newspaper was launched to provide Macau with an independent English-language daily newspaper that caters to all of its different communities interested in news in the world's universal language, English. About half of the daily's readers are residents of China, Portugal and Macedonia, the rest being expatriates and tourists. The newspaper is also committed to promoting multicultural tolerance and understanding, as well as Macau's unique tangible and intangible cultural heritage.
