2. AI-Generated Portraits: MTR & Cyberport
Bringing it closer to home, MTR and Cyberport in Hong Kong both collaborated with the immersive art collective, Teleport, this year.
In a previous article, we documented the MTR Mother's Day campaign in which AI powered marketing was the star of the show at the installations across 5 locations. The creative campaign featured "magic mirrors" that participants interacted with to get a realistic queen portrait created based on the photo the "mirror" took of them.

Adintime even went and tested the campaign firsthand—and it delivered! The combination of AI-generated ad content (in this case, fun royal portraits) and immersive experience marketing featuring a magical character made a strong impression. It nailed hyper-personalization, captured attention, and put genuine smiles on people’s faces. The excitement carried over to social media, where participants eagerly shared their portraits, boosting the campaign’s visibility and engagement.
Similarly in August this year, Cyberport's annual event DELF, Teleport exhibited another installation that utilized AI to generate unique artworks for the participants. The interactive experience is an example of their ready-made solutions for experiential AI advertising campaigns.
Participants could choose from 4 different styles inspired by Michaelangelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, Frida Khalo, and Katsushika Hokusai. They would then get their photo taken which was used to generate AI art in the style they had chosen with a futuristic twist. And of course, we tried it out as well:

Just like the Mother's Day campaign, this installation is designed to evoke emotions, make people smile, and leave a lasting impression. This type of AI advertising brings heaps of opportunity brands to connect with their customers and personalize something uniquely for them.
